{"id":21758,"date":"2026-04-28T09:18:01","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T06:18:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/modecon.mnau.edu.ua\/?page_id=21758"},"modified":"2026-04-29T09:53:05","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T06:53:05","slug":"polozh-vidkl-publ","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/modecon.mnau.edu.ua\/en\/home\/polozh-vidkl-publ\/","title":{"rendered":"Policy on Retraction of Publications"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1488380970275{margin-bottom: 0px !important;padding-top: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}&#8221; parallax_background=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Policy on Retraction of Publications<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\u00abModern Economics\u00bb electronic academic journal adheres to <a href=\"https:\/\/publicationethics.org\/about\">COPE<\/a>\u00a0principles and takes measures to ensure academic integrity, avoiding instances of plagiarism, duplication, data fabrication or other forms of academic misconduct.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ethical violations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The editorial board does not accept:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>resubmission <\/strong>of material that has already been published or is simultaneously submitted to other publications;<\/li>\n<li><strong>manipulation of citations <\/strong>aimed at artificially inflating the citation index;<\/li>\n<li><strong>falsification or fabrication of data<\/strong>, including manipulation of images;<\/li>\n<li><strong>the secret use of AI<\/strong>, falsification of authorship or the use of other people\u2019s personal data;<\/li>\n<li>involvement in activities related to \u2018paper mills\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All such cases are considered in accordance with <a href=\"https:\/\/publicationethics.org\/about\">COPE<\/a> guidelines, with the possible application of sanctions, refusal to publish or retraction of the article\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Corrections, erratums and corrigenda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If an inaccuracy or technical error is found in a published article, the editorial board may publish:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Correction<\/strong>\u2013 in the case of a significant error that does not affect the validity of the results;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Erratum<\/strong>\u2013\u00a0 if the error was made by the editorial board during the preparation of the material;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Corrigendum<\/strong>\u2013\u00a0 if the error was made by the author.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Corrections may be initiated by authors, readers or the editorial board. Following verification and approval, a separate document marked \u201cCorrection\u201d is published, linked to the original article.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Retraction (Withdrawal of an article)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Retraction is applied if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the results are found to be unreliable or falsified;<\/li>\n<li>the article constitutes plagiarism or duplicates previously published work;<\/li>\n<li>unethical research or breaches of the peer-review process are confirmed;<\/li>\n<li>fraudulent or coerced authorship is identified.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Following the editorial decision to retract:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the PDF file is marked \u201cRetracted\u201d;<\/li>\n<li>the article remains openly accessible with clear labelling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Complete removal is possible only in exceptional cases \u2013\u00a0 for example, in the event of a breach of legislation, copyright or security issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expression of Concern<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If there are concerns regarding the accuracy of the data but insufficient evidence for retraction, the editorial board may publish an \u201cExpression of Concern\u201d with its own DOI. It remains available until the investigation is concluded.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Review procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An investigation is initiated by the editorial board or following a request from the author or a third party.<\/li>\n<li>Authors are notified and given the right to provide an explanation.<\/li>\n<li>The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or their assistant.<\/li>\n<li>All decisions (regarding corrections, retractions or expressions of concern) are made as quickly as possible to preserve scientific integrity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Voluntary withdrawal of a manuscript<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Authors may withdraw a manuscript prior to publication by submitting a formal letter explaining the reasons, signed by all co-authors.
