Strategic management of the agricultural sector of Ukraine in conditions of transformation<\/b><\/h2>\n

Abstract. Introduction<\/i><\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/i>The agricultural sector plays a vital role in ensuring food security and economic stability in Ukraine. However, the sector faces several challenges in the 21st century, including military risks, climate change, global competition, logistics chain disruption, and the need to integrate into the European market. Traditional management models are losing their effectiveness under these conditions, necessitating a strategic transformation of agricultural management based on innovation, digitalization, and sustainable development principles. These factors determine the strategic priorities of state policy and corporate management of agricultural enterprises.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Purpose<\/i><\/b>. This study aims to summarize the current aspects of strategic management in Ukraine’s agricultural sector, identify its main transformation directions, and outline prospects for agribusiness development in the context of global challenges and European integration processes.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Results<\/i><\/b>. It has been established that, from 2022 to 2025, Ukraine’s agricultural sector operated amid extreme turbulence caused by war, macroeconomic imbalances, and threats to global food security. Strategic management focused on adaptability, innovation, and diversification of activities. Key areas of transformation were systematized, including digitalization (AgriTech, big data, precision farming, and artificial intelligence); environmental sustainability and compliance with the European Green Deal; development of innovative business models and value chains “from producer to consumer”; ensuring financial stability and access to capital; diversification of sales markets; and investment in human capital. Implementing these areas will contribute to Ukraine’s agricultural economy’s competitive recovery and long-term sustainability.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Conclusions<\/i><\/b>. Ukraine’s agricultural sector should implement strategic management that combines crisis adaptation mechanisms with innovation and integration approaches. Digital and environmental transformation, financial stability, and modernization of production will increase the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises and accelerate Ukraine’s integration into the European economic space. These results can be used to improve state agricultural policy, develop corporate strategies, and create tools for sustainable post-war economic recovery.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
