Integrated Model for Managing the Competitiveness of Industrial Enterprises Based on Adaptation to Digital and Economic Challenges

Abstract. Introduction. Modern economic conditions are marked by intensifying digital and economic challenges, making it necessary to transition from traditional management models to adaptive systems. This need is particularly relevant for Ukrainian industrial enterprises due to technological inequality, wartime risks, and macroeconomic instability.

Purpose. The goal is to develop an integrated model that manages the competitiveness of industrial enterprises by combining analytical, operational, and strategic components to effectively adapt to dynamic changes in the external environment.

Results. A tripartite model structure is proposed, comprising interconnected subsystems: analytical-evaluative, digital-operational, and strategic-adaptive. The analytical-evaluative subsystem uses a balanced scorecard to provide comprehensive diagnostics of the enterprise’s state, including indicators of digital maturity, adaptive capacity, and traditional financial and economic metrics. The digital-operational subsystem transforms analytical data into management decisions by implementing business intelligence tools, big data, and artificial intelligence. The strategic-adaptive subsystem coordinates long-term goals with current actions to form proactive development policies and rapid response mechanisms to changes in the external environment. A key advantage of the proposed model is its focus on economic effectiveness. Management decisions are verified using financial tools such as NPV, ROI, and EVA to ensure a balance between digitalization costs, innovation investments, and economic benefits. The model’s functional-economic structure includes an adaptive feedback mechanism that enables continuous monitoring of key KPIs and prompt strategy adjustments.

Conclusions. The integrated competitiveness management model allows Ukrainian industrial enterprises to adapt to crisis conditions and proactively transform threats into competitive advantages. Implementing the model creates the prerequisites for increasing productivity, investment attractiveness, and economic security amid digital transformation.
