Anti-crisis Management Mechanisms as the Basis for Business Adaptation to a Turbulent Environment

Abstract. Introduction. This article studies the anti-crisis management system for entrepreneurial activity, revealing its content, structure and key elements. It analyses the problems of implementing anti-crisis management at enterprises, providing theoretical justifications and practical methodological recommendations for managing entrepreneurial activity in crisis conditions. It considers the causes of crisis situations and the key problems of personnel management in crisis conditions. It also outlines the principles, tasks and methods of managing human potential in a crisis, as well as the tools for ensuring the solvency and liquidity of enterprises. Finally, it outlines the essence of anti-crisis management, which involves systemic methods, principles and management decisions aimed at the timely diagnosis, prevention, neutralisation and overcoming of crisis phenomena in the activities of the enterprise. The main external factors determining the unprofitability of domestic enterprises are identified. A functional scheme presenting the sequence for implementing strategic anti-crisis management goals is presented.

Purpose. The study aims to analyse practical recommendations for managing enterprises in crisis conditions, identify the causes of crisis situations and the main personnel management problems in crisis enterprises, and determine the principles, tasks and methods of managing their human potential. The research will also involve the systematisation of anti-crisis management mechanisms as a fundamental tool for ensuring the adaptability of business organisations to turbulent environmental conditions. Effective strategies for increasing stability and competitiveness will also be identified.

Conclusions. In today’s environment of high turbulence, technological change and global competition, crisis management skills have become a necessary competency for managers. Crisis management involves more than just tactical tools for solving problems; it must be based on principles such as flexibility, innovation, proactivity and strategic thinking. This approach enables enterprises to not only effectively overcome crisis periods, but also to establish a stable foundation for long-term development in the face of constant challenges and transformations. Anti-crisis management involves ensuring the survival of the enterprise and forming a more stable, adaptive, and innovative business structure that can function effectively in uncertain conditions, provided an integrated anti-crisis strategy is applied.
