Evolution of Theoretical Aspects and Determining the Role of Innovation in Ensuring Scientific and Technical Progress in Economy
Abstract. Introduction. The article has improved the theoretical and methodological provisions of the definition innovations connection with scientific and technical progress in economy.
Purpose. The purpose of the article is to identify and systematize the theoretical and methodological aspects of the role of innovation in ensuring scientific and technological progress in the economy.
Results. Summarizing the results of the cognition of the problem raised in the article about the role of innovation in ensuring scientific and technological progress, it would be desirable to emphasize that: innovation is crucial for the development of humanity and the economy in particular; innovation science is constantly improving the understanding of the processes of innovation through the penetration of new sectors of the innovation process; the innovation process is a continuous phenomenon, it periodically dies out, but never ceases, so the critical mass of knowledge and human awareness of the need for improvements contributes to inventions, breakthrough innovations.
Conclusions. The aspects of the evolution of theoretical foundations of the scientific essence of innovation and innovation development are determined. The definition of categories and concepts of innovative theory in the framework of the evolutionary, historical approach to understanding the significance of innovations in the functioning of the economic system of mankind is characterized. The list of basic innovative discoveries that provided fundamental changes, promoted scientific and technological progress in the economy is provided. A periodization of the stages of the innovations theory development has been accomplished, their classification kinds are systematized. The organizational aspects of the connection of innovations and the effectiveness of business activity with the appropriate systematization of the researchers’ of this problem in the economy and the individual industry scientific views – in particular, in agriculture.
