Impact of Digital Technologies on Modern Society: Transformational Aspects
Abstract. Introduction. The modern world is experiencing a period of rapid technological development, which is continuously transforming our society in all spheres of life. Digital technologies have become an integral part of our daily existence, affecting all aspects of contemporary life – economic, social, cultural, political and educational. Understanding the impact of these technologies is critical for today’s world and for shaping the society of the future. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that digital technologies have not only become an accelerator of development, but also significantly changed the structure and functioning of society.
Purpоse. Ukraine, in the context of the modern world, cannot avoid the influence of digital technologies in any field. This is especially important in the conditions of the military conflict taking place in the country. The transformation of processes and products into an online format is becoming extremely important. In this context, the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Digital Competencies until 2025 has an important impact on the development of Ukraine, especially within the framework of the implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union.
Results. The implementation of the concept has a significant impact on the development of Ukraine in the context of the implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union. The agreement provides for the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to EU standards. The EU already has the “Digital Competence Regulator for EU Citizens” (DigComp), which promotes the assessment and development of individuals’ digital skills. Digital competence is the ability to use digital technologies for learning, working and participating in public life. It means a combination of knowledge, skills and attitudes. The DigComp framework integrates five areas of digital competence: information literacy, communication, digital content creation, digital safety and problem solving. Digital competence covers not only the technical aspects, but also the cognitive, social and emotional aspects of working and living in a digital environment. Policies should include digital skills training in schools, at work and throughout life, as well as teacher training. This will contribute to the development of digital entrepreneurship and the involvement of qualified workers in modern organizations and enterprises.
Cоnclusiоns. In order to implement digital skills in our country, changes should be made in the education policy so that it meets the new requirements, and include the teaching of digital skills as an integral part of educational goals, covering different stages of the educational process and the entire life path of a person.
