Management Features of Non-Profit Organizations
Abstract. Introduction. Over the last decade, non-governmental non-profit organizations and other public organizations have significantly increased their activities in Ukraine. The trend of the current stage of development of the public sector of the economy is to expand its institutional structure by attracting an increasing number of non-governmental non-profit organizations to accomplish tasks that were recently considered the prerogative of the state. This is typical for almost all developed countries and regions.
Purpose. The purpose of this article is to identify management features of nonprofit organizations, identify the main types of nonprofit organizations, and identify features of the use of target management technologies in the activities of nonprofit organizations.
Results. Management of non-profit organizations is of particular relevance today, since non-profit organizations serve as a mediator between the state and the population, and when interacting with business, such organizations serve as an assistant in identifying and preventing non-financial risks, as well as help in shaping a positive image of the company. For nonprofit organizations for which profit is not the primary purpose, and the purpose of which is mainly based on incomplete principles and clear concepts, internal organization is a difficult procedure. And that is why the issue of research on the management of non-profit organizations requires a deeper study and is currently the most relevant, because in non-profit organizations, together with the awareness of the possibility of participation in market relations, the very possibility of this participation, and the realization of themselves as an independent unit of market relations. This article defines the specifics of non-profit organizations management, identifies the main types of non-profit organizations, and specifies the features of the use of target management technologies in the activities of non-profit organizations.
Conclusions. The conducted researches revealed management features of non-profit organizations. In order to effectively fulfill its core social mission, non-profit organizations need to be rationally organized, since the creation of a strong non-profit sector must be seen as an important factor in ensuring social and political stability, improving living standards and, consequently, sustainable development of the country.
