Methodological Foundations for Assessing the Financial Stability and Competitiveness of Enterprises under Crisis Conditions
Abstract. Introduction. The ongoing war and prolonged economic instability have fundamentally altered the operating environment for Ukrainian enterprises. Disruptions in supply chains, inflationary pressure, regulatory uncertainty, and digital challenges have made it essential to rethink how to measure financial stability and competitiveness under these conditions.
Purpose. The study aims to develop a methodological framework for assessing the financial resilience and competitiveness of enterprises, taking into account both external threats and internal capabilities. The focus is on building an adaptive system that supports strategic and operational decision-making in uncertain conditions.
Methods. To ensure analytical depth, the research employs a combination of classification methods, structural and functional modeling, expert evaluation, and elements of factor and comparative analysis. These tools allow us to integrate financial and non-financial indicators into a comprehensive evaluation model.
Results. The study proposes a structured approach linking production efficiency, financial condition, market performance, and competitiveness. The model helps identify weaknesses, assess risk exposure, and suggest performance improvements under complex external influences. The model reflects how enterprises adapt to military and post-crisis challenges.
Conclusions. The proposed methodology can serve as a practical tool for economic diagnostics, scenario planning, and risk management. It is valuable for analysts, managers, and policymakers who aim to promote business sustainability in Ukraine’s dynamic environment.
