Motivation as a Means of Effective Management of Civil Protection
Abstract. Introduction. Motivation in civil protection bodies and units is a type of management activity in the field of civil protection management, which provides a process of encouraging employees to work that is aimed at achieving the personal and organizational goals.
Purpose. Diagnostics of motivation measurement as a means of effective functioning of management in the field of civil protection.
Results. Motivation in the field of civil protection is an important management mechanism and is an indisputable means of effective management. The motivation system can be made more effective in the following circumstances:
– promote career development that will encourage civil defense officials to take the position of winner, develop a tendency to dominate;
– demonstrate recognition of civil protection officers, which will allow them to develop a self-affirmation motive;
– to ensure constant communication of civil protection personnel, which will allow to emphasize on a single purpose, will form in them a tendency to their work in a team;
– to create comfortable conditions for self-realization, which will promote their spiritual and professional perfection, develop the motive of independence;
– respect civil service officers by emphasizing the importance of each function. In this case, the motive of justice, significance and reliability is updated, which increases the sense of responsibility for one’s actions.
– to support the sense of success of the personnel of the civil defense service, which will activate the motive of their own and collective success, confidence in themselves and will increase the desire for self-improvement, will develop a sense of justice.
Conclusions. Motivation serves as an internal condition for further improvement of the personality, ensures the permanence of his professional views, acts as a stimulator not only of value orientations, but also of intellectual, emotional-volitional processes, influences in general the results of the work of civil protection employees.
