Production and Marketing of Organic Agricultural Products in Ukraine
Abstract. Introduction. Very popular in the world, especially in Ukraine, is gaining organic product. Organic farming is the most widespread alternative farming method in the world. Organic farming is at an early stage of its development in Ukraine.
Purpose. The purpose of this research is to analyze the theoretical aspects of organic products marketing and to investigate the current state of the organic products market in Ukraine.
Results. Organic products are products obtained from certified organic production. Each stage of production is under the strict control of the certification body which certifies compliance with the standards for organic production by issuing the relevant certificate.
The infrastructure of the organic agricultural market is a system of organizations and institutions which provides interconnection between the structural elements of the organic market and promotes the free movement of organic agricultural products and food the continuous process of reproduction and the efficient functioning of the final consumption areas.
The transition period begins from the moment when the farmer applies to the certification authority for the environmental certification of land.
It is important to apply effective marketing approaches to product sales to the consumer. The main types of products promotion in organic agricultural production should be considered: advertising, creation of benevolent thought, personal sales, promotion of sales.
Today the Ukrainian market of organic products is gradually developing, expanding the range of domestic products, which allows the consumer to buy not only organic grains, from which everything began, but also products of meat and dairy group, vegetables, fruits, etc.
Conclusions. The organic market in Ukraine is gradually developing. Over the past few years, Ukraine has become an important supplier of organic products to Western markets. The main Ukrainian products of organic origin which are exported are cereals, oil crops, legumes, wild berries, mushrooms, nuts and herbs. In order to compete on an equal footing with foreign enterprises, it is necessary to organize a marketing system.
