Gnoseology of Organizational Structures and the Basis of Their Design
Abstract. Introduction. Gnoseological research of organizational structures makes it possible to determine their indivisible part and based on this to identify natural universal properties that gives an opportunity to design a high-quality organizational structure based on a normative model. The identified natural properties of an indivisible part of the organizational structure include the presence of management and production functions, the latter of which are qualitatively important and are defined as main, auxiliary and service functions.
Purpose. The purpose of the article is to conduct a gnoseological research of organizational structures which will make it possible to identify their indivisible parts and establish the natural functions of these parts. This, in turn, will make it possible to initiate the foundations of qualitative design of organizational structures which will affect the effectiveness of their functioning at different phases of the life cycle.
Result. Gnoseological research of an indivisible part of the organizational structure make it possible to consider it as a dynamic system that must be designed for each phase of the life cycle, which has a clearly defined goal. In turn, the phases of the life cycle can be repeatable and unrepeatable. Organizational structures may not be redesign for repeatable phases of the life cycle. The study of an indivisible part of the organizational structure and their properties made it possible to form qualitative definitions of the concepts of “organizational structure”, to determine that the concept of “function” has a natural origin and is a natural property of an indivisible part of the organizational structure, and also to form a new understanding of the concept of “mission”. It was determined that the mission of organization is a collective concept that characterizes the achievement of the goal by the organizational structure at different phases of the life cycle. For the purpose of an in-depth analysis of the mission of any organizational structure, it is also proposed to consider that it can correspond to only two categories which are good and evil, according to the main normative and evaluative categories of an indivisible part of the organizational structure which is a person.
Conclusions. Determining of the natural properties of an indivisible part of the organizational structure makes it possible to consider it as a dynamic structure and will allow the development of a qualitative methodology for the design of organizational structures with the further possibility of synthesizing elements of organizational structures and elements of resources, which are necessary for the implementation of the natural (universal) functions of each element of this structure.
