Enterprise Security under Digital Transformation of Economics
Abstract. Introduction. The development of the world economy and society is driven by the introduction of key technologies. Such components as blockchain, cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems are the basis of the digital economy. Their use leads to some positive economic and social effects. But a number of theoretical and applied problems related to determining the impact of digital transformation processes on the activities of industrial enterprises, their positive and negative consequences, remain unresolved.
Purpose. The purpose of the study is to identify the main risks of transformation of industrial enterprises to Industry 4.0 and the formation of measures to maintain the security of the enterprise.
Results. Risk factors at different levels of the hierarchy have been identified based by a systematic approach to analyzing the risks of digital transformation of industrial enterprises. Internal risk factors include the implementation of digital technologies in the production processes, the formation of a new organizational structure, the establishment of horizontal and vertical digital integrations between departments of the enterprise. The risks of micro-level are related to the problems of integration between the main stakeholders, the necessity to create unified IT platforms for the enterprise to interact with suppliers, transport companies, consumers and regulators. The risks of the landfill depend on the economic and social opportunities of the region, the institutional environment of the enterprise. Macro-environment risks are caused by Industry 4.0 – low innovation potential of the national economy, export-raw model of the country’s development. Risks that arise at the intergovernmental level include risks to mega environment. All presented risks are interrelated and interdependent.
Conclusions. An insurance system as a tool to manage the risks of digital transformation of the enterprise was proposed. It is necessary to highlight the set of digital transformation risks that can partially or fully obtain insurance protection. The risks of digital transformation of production should not hinder the development of the enterprise. New ways to automatically manage, improve efficiency, predictive analytics, and save the resources that digital transformation brings, outweigh the potential problems of implementing them.
