Effective quality management is the key to the agricultural enterprise competitiveness
Abstract. Introduction. The principal task of an agricultural enterprise in the market economy is to ensure the competitiveness and quality of products. This is made possible by the application of effective quality management, which determines the success of the enterprise, its financial stability, prestige and reputation.
Purpose. The main purposes of this article are proofing the necessity of effective quality management, which is the ground for achieving the agricultural enterprise competitiveness and proving the feasibility of introducing a new technology of sunflower production.
Results. Modern conditions for the functioning of market relations dictate to the agricultural producer that the quality of production coincides or exceeds the expectations of consumers. Only then, the enterprise will be considered competitive. Achieving this goal becomes possible through the introduction and creation of an effective quality management system implemented through standardization and certification. Certification promotes the protection of domestic producers, confirms the quality of its products, and prevents the penetration of low quality and dangerous products into the market of the country. Agricultural enterprises must continuously monitor the quality of their products in order to obtain a dominant position in their industry. That is why, effective management is done the quality control of the products and work of the company in general. Sunflower is a highly profitable oilseed crop that produces high yields and, therefore, a high profit for the enterprise. To do this, you need to apply an effective sunflower cultivation technology. An advanced and effective technology of sunflower growing, which is cultivating Ukrainian farmers, is a continuous sowing. Unlike the traditional sowing technology in the dashed way, plants do not accumulate in rows, placing more evenly in order to feed, obtain light, moisture, nutrients. All these factors increase the yield by 3-5 centners per 1 hectare. This technology reduces the loss of moisture, as the leaves quickly cover the soil, thus plants stand heat better, which is especially important in the steppe regions.
Conclusions. Therefore, according to the calculations, it can be concluded that the crop capacity of sunflower grew by 9.9 centners per 1 hectare, with the introduction of a new sunflower growing technology – intensive continuous crop instead of the traditional one. In this case, the profit increased by 12841.01 UAH. This was due to the increase of productivity by 11888.55 UAH and by reducing production costs by 1 ha to 952.45 UAH. So, it is expedient to introduce this new technology, which will significantly improve the economic efficiency of production.
