ESG-Oriented Integration of Transport and Warehousing Logistics and Operations Management of Hotel Enterprises Based on Digital Platforms
Abstract. Introduction. The article addresses a critical management and operational problem within the modern hospitality sector, which manifests as the functional fragmentation of transport-and-warehousing logistics and service operations management. This structural insulation causes unchecked growth in overhead costs and sub-optimizes overall business profitability.
Purpose. The core purpose of this study is to diagnose the structural bottlenecks of dominant hospitality management frameworks and to formulate an original, ESG-oriented integrated model that unifies hotel transport-and-warehousing logistics, service operations, and advanced multi-layer digital architecture.
Results. An advanced three-level (strategic, tactical, and operational) management model has been developed. The tactical layer utilizes combined ABC/XYZ matrix sorting to separate high-value goods requiring real-time WMS monitoring from low-cost materials subject to automated triggers. The operational layer implements rigorous FEFO rotation to control food degradation under strict HACCP and ISO 22000 mandates. The functional architecture is divided into six deeply integrated blocks spanning sustainable sourcing, inventory bifurcation, smart warehousing, and a closed data ecosystem linking PMS, ERP, WMS, and BI engines. To secure execution, a comprehensive five-stage implementation methodology spanning 12 to 24 months is outlined, anchored by the deployment of a dedicated Logistics Integration Manager to eliminate operational friction and bridge cross-functional gaps.
Conclusions. The scientific novelty of the proposed model lies in the transition from decorative green metrics to full-scale cross-functional integration. Future research prospects are tied to the practical implementation of the developed model within the real logistics chains of domestic hotel enterprises, as well as the study of the impact of AI and IoT technologies on the transformation of supply chains in the hotel industry.
